This is a small series I did in 2020. I wanted to mimic printmaking techniques and borrow from the look of block printing and risograph printing. I planned and created this just as you would when working with analog mediums. By using only 2 colors I was able to achieve the look of a 4 color design when in actuality its 2 ink colors, "paper" color, and overlapping inks creating a 4th color. I eventually want to actually print these myself but for now I just added textures and slightly off registered the colors to give it a tactile edge while remaining digital.
I would love to create more illustrations in this style! As a lover of printmaking myself, it's been fun dissecting the process to find the right way to mimic it digitally.
