While at IDEO CoLab, I worked on a small team to create a way people could buy .eth accounts. .eth is a domain on the decentralized web. Right not the main use for this is to use the domain as an easier human readable crypto currency address. But it was fun to theorize and conceptualize what else these domains could be used for.
We modeled the mechanics from centralized web domain bidding systems.
I created part of the visual identity for Placed. This included the UI/UX design, color palette, and illustration. The name, Placed, and logo were created by Jacob Waites. We were inspired by an old internet look with simple angular graphics.
